Motoring Fee Structure

Our legal fees

We charge based on an hourly rate which varies depending on which expert you work with. Our costs are calculated on the amount of time spent on your file, with letters and telephone calls timed at a minimum of 6 minutes.

 

The hourly rates for work done on your files are as follows:

1 Grade A Solicitors/ legal executives with over 8 years’ experience £265.00
2 Grade B Solicitors/legal executives with over 4 years’ experience £220.00
3 Grade C solicitors/legal executives & fee earners £165.00
4 Grade D Trainee solicitors, paralegals & other fee earners £110.00

 

We are pleased to represent you on a privately funded basis, and we have provided below information about our costs in relation to appearances before Magistrates’ Courts in the Greater Manchester.  You may be charged a little fee for the travelling beyond the Greater Manchester.

Single Justice Procedure Notice

If you’ve received a Single Justice Procedure Notice and want a professional advice, we are happy to assist, a small amount in the sum of £180.00 will be charged.

Entering Guilty Plea and Mitigation

Apart from the hourly rates, we do make Once you have received the Notice of Intended Prosecution and a Court Summon further to the NIP, you have made the mind to admit. We will be happy to assist you.

 

We always have a cost-effective approach towards our clients, If you’ve received a court summons, our professional fees for your first hearing will be in the region of £1500-£2000

Pleading NOT GULTY and Trial

If you do not plead guilty and the mater proceed to Trial. It may Cost you between £2000 to £2500 which includes the disbursements to the extent of one hearing. Any subsequent hearing may be charged and may cost between £650 to £1000.00 depending upon the availability of the Barrister and his/her standing.

 

The cost for a case will largely depend on:

  • The number of court appearances
  • The amount of further evidence which needs to be reviewed
  • Whether there are any disclosure issues
  • If expert or defence witness evidence is needed.

So, the above costs for pleading not guilty could be much higher than this.

 

Trial barrister fees will also be payable alongside any other disbursements – for example, the cost of an expert’s report.

Pricing for applications to reduce driving disqualification

For legal work and representation for an application to the court to reduce your driving disqualification, our charges will be around £2,500 plus VAT.

Appeals

If you are happy with the Court Order and would like to Appeal against, we will manage the drafting and submission of the Notice of Appeal. The firm will also prepare evidence for the appeal hearing and arrange court representation.

 

The estimated fees for this work range from £2500to £4500, but a tailored estimate can be provided after discussing the specifics of the case. Additionally, barrister fees and other disbursements, such as expert reports, will be charged separately unless agreed in the price quoted.
